My name is JP Egan and I am passionate about playing competitive basketball. I've been playing in leagues since I was four years old and I hope to be able to keep playing this game my whole life. When I was 11, I was national runner up for my age group in the NBA’s Dribble Dish and Swish competition during the NBA All-Star weekend in Orlando. I am a high school Junior and currently play for St. Joseph’s Prep under legendary Coach Speedy Morris. We play in the highly competitive Philadelphia Catholic League. For the last three years, my AAU team from CAL Sports Academy has been coached by Cordell Lord, who is now an assistant coach at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. My next big personal goal is to play collegiate basketball. I grew up playing the 1, 2 and 3 spots and have always been proud of my shooting ability. Now though, since I’ve grown to be over 6 foot, I’ve had to transition and learn to play the 4 and 5. With all my years of experience I have a good knowledge of the game and along with my playing skills I believe I can be an asset to any team, both on the court and in the locker room.
