Matthew Tiernan '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'5" 205 lb SF/PF.  I am a three-sport varsity athlete with basketball being my main sport.  I have played on the varsity basketball team at my high school every year beginning as a freshman, in addition to playing AAU for the past 4 years.  This year, I was selected by my teammates to be one of the varsity captains.  I have always had the goal to play basketball in college.  I am first and foremost a team player.  I am an aggressive rebounder and always play hard on defense.  I have great interior offensive moves and can shoot the 3 well.  I am a hard worker and will do whatever it takes for my team to win.  In addition to being a strong athlete, I am an excellent academic student.  I have been on the Honor Roll every semester, currently have a 4.1 GPA, and I am a member of the National Honor Society.  I am looking for a school where I can excel in both academics and athletics, and where I can develop lifelong friendships with my teammates.
