Willem Basson '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal, aspiration and dream is to play professional basketball. To reach my goal I am willing to learn and work as hard as I need to. I am disciplined and dedicated to being a student of the game so that I can continually improve my personal skills and become a better team player. I feel I persevere when faced with challenges. I work hard on both ends of the court and will fight until the final buzzer. My strongest attributes on the court are my defensive intensity, my speed on the court, and desire to be the best player and teammate I can possibly be. I respect authority and am always willing to accept critique and feedback that will help me get better. I learned discipline, commitment, and dedication from my past year competing on Provincial level of track and field. Despite my obsession with the game, I realize that my academic achievements are equally important in reaching my ultimate goal.
