As a basketball player, the push to be great is everything. It's why I push myself harder than my parents, to excel in the classroom and on the court. Hard work and dedication to the craft is harder than it seems. Every day is school, basketball, and studying. I am a great ball player who is able to maintain a 4.0 GPA, and yet I continue to push myself even further to being an all A student. With a full course load consisting of Chemistry Honors, Algebra II Honors, and US History & Constitution Honors, I have to equally divide my time on the court and off, often forced to decide at any given time what is most important the student, or the athlete. I also work part-time.
Education is most important to my family, and I feel confident that I will be as good an academic student in college as I will be a student athlete. Basketball is the thing I love the most besides my friends and family. I look forward to being the coach's go-to-guy and the player the coach can depend on. Being coachable and a great teammate builds character. Basketball is my passion because it is competitive, and my focus on the game and the craft keep me on the right path.
