Personal Statement
Dear Coaches, I am Shawn Simmons ever since I was young, my dream was to go to the next level. I grind hard everyday whether its practice,gym, school, and then after school I'm in the gym again to grind even harder. I've always had a tendency to be competitive or to lead those of my youth in a way that everyone benefits from. School wise, my teachers can explain that I work hard to get good grades and will try to find anyway just to keep them up to par. When I get to the next level it would complete one dream but I would love to major in medicine.But on the sports side, Last year I averaged 10 points 6 assist and finished with All- Region Honors. I'll be a great candidate for your program because I'll a Leader on and off the court and I'll be a role model to those around me. I'm also honest and really critical of myself for my own shortcomings and make goals to eliminate them. Furthermore, I give my all whether we're up by 10 or down by 20 the beauty of basketball is as long as there is time, there's room for a comeback. At that moment its the strong and meek that survives. This is why I believe I will be a good candidate.
