Jake Miller '14 Recruiting Profile

I am an athletic 6'4" shooting guard out of Germantown HS (Germantown, TN near Memphis). I am being recruited as a shooter (shot 50%--60 out of 120-- this year from 3 point range), but my game is very well-rounded on both sides of the court. I take pride in my rebounding, passing, team defense, can get to the rim, play in transition, and affect the game in several different ways. I play the game with intensity and toughness on every play, which is contagious with those I play with (and is recognized by those I play against and fans watching). I play the game right: smart, tough, team-focused and always to win! I give everything I have and will do whatever is needed to help my team win. 

I am as serious a student as I am a player. I scored a 28 on the ACT, have a 4.4 GPA, and am an International Baccalaureate student. I also have been all-academic in my district every year in HS.

I am a 3-year Varsity player and a two-time all-district player in the very talented and competitive basketball city of Memphis. I was the captain of my team as a Senior, and led us to one of the best records in recent years. I was also MVP of our Christmas tournament and was named best of the preps. Here are some of the key stats from my senior season:
