Basketball has always been a passion of mine. I started playing at 5 years old, however I have been on the sidelines with my mom while she coached since I was an infant. My goal is to continue in the basketball realm by becoming a teacher and basketball coach. I took on my first coaching gig with 1st and 2nd graders when I was 15 years old. I also work individually with kids in the community on basketball fundamentals during the summer. Basketball has built so much character in me. It has taught me how to persevere, how to lead, how to lose and win. I have learned valuable communication skills, motivational techniques, and how to push through adversity. Through the years, I have worked hard to sharpen my skill set and push myself outside of my comfort zone in order to grow into the player I am today. The diversity I expose in my game sets me apart from others. My abilities to score off the dribble, at the rim, mid-range, and three point range are consistent. Defensively I work hard on the boards, getting deflections, and making steals. I am a team player, feeding the open man and averaging 4 assist per game. I want to see my team excel and through that I find victory. I am a hard working and coachable athlete.
