Personal Statement

At age four, my dad began teaching me to play basketball and baseball (he played college football, baseball and ran track).  Both sports have become my passion.  Through sports, I learned the value of commitment, hard-work, goal setting, and visualizing success.   Two years ago, these values were evidenced by my Middle School Basketball Coach which named me the "Most Valuable Player" on my 8th grade basketball team!  Last year (2018/2019 season), as the starting point guard on my JV High School Basketball team we played in a Varsity tournament and I was selected to the "All Tournament Team" by the other five coaches (averaged 17 points/game).  This is the highlight of my basketball career thus far!

Just completed my Senior Basketball season as the starting Shooting Guard at Abilene Cooper High School!  We won District for the 2nd consecutive year, my game high was 35 points (hit 30+ twice this season), hit 23 points in our District Championship Game, made 1st Team All-District 4-5A, was selected to the All-Tournament Team during the Raising Canes Basketball Tournament & averaged 13.8 points/game for the year!

During my Junior year (2020/2021 school year) I made 2nd Team All-District in District 4-5A in Basketball and Baseball. Selected as a 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American.

In baseball (Spring 2018), my Travel Team Coach named me "Most Valuable Player" of our tournament in Waco, TX for my pitching performance over the weekend.  As a Freshman (2018/2019 school year), I was the starting left fielder on the Cooper High School Varsity Baseball team.  During the summer of 2019, I played on a select baseball team (West Texas Angels) and was clocked  at pitching speed of 84 mph (at age 14) during 5-Tool tournament at Texas Christian University (TCU).

My parents, both of which went to college, have impressed upon me the importance of education.   At this point, I am interested in pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering.   Math and science are two of my favorite classes.

This year, I am a Sophomore  at Cooper High School in Abilene, TX.  I am VISUALIZING SUCCESS in my personal life, the classroom, on the court and on the diamond!

My ultimate goal is to obtain my college degree and play one or both sports in college.

"Through a Higher Power, all things are possible."
