My goals for college is first of all to earn a scholarship to ease the burden on my mom. She really works hard to provide for us and I want to take care of her one day. I am the ultimate example of a scholar athlete and I believe in giving back. The summer 0f 2017, someone was kind enough to sponsor a mission trip to Ecuador. It felt good helping people who were less fortunate than me and it made me realize that happiness isn't about material things but it comes from having joy and peace. It is an experience that I want to do again, and this year I will get a job so I can pay for someone else to go. When I make it to the pros, I will help young people like me...those who would have this opportunity if it were not for the kindness of people who believe in me. I love reading, and my mom has never allowed me to play video games, so I had to be creative on how I spent my time. I am an excellent cook, so I am very independent and don't need much guidance on anything. I don't mean to say that I don't need help
because I know I have a long way to go since I got a late start. However, I have always been told that I am easy to coach because I listen and practice what I am taught. Because my dad died, I am determined to make him proud when he looks down on me and his life motivates me to reach higher. Either way, I will make sure that I get a scholarship either academically or athletically. Excellence is the goal.
