Derrick Guy '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Derrick Guy II, I am a sophmore at Concordia University Texas located in Austin, Texas. I am a Combo Guard and I know I have what it takes to help you team win. I’ve been playing basketball seriously since I was 15. My ambition is to play basketball for a university that will give me purpose both on and off the court. I am a creative person both on and off the court. I love when a coach design a great offensive and defensive game plan that allows me to play to my full potential. That can be said the same when it come to the education and career path I have chosen. 

I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the Kinesiology/Sports Medicine/Physical Therapy. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I believe my best fit would be at the DII or NAIA level, although I will absolutely consider high academic DIII opportunities.
