Throughout my life I have always aspired to be a college athlete. My dad has influenced me more than anyone by pushing me to always give it my all and to never quit. Even when I was two years old he was already pushing me to do my best with my little basketball hoop in my room. Now that I am a Junior in high school I have learned a lot about myself through sports, for example, I am a competitor. I want to compete no matter what the scenario is, even in classes I compete with others to score the highest on tests and this characteristic magnifies on the basketball court. I also have learned that I have an advantage over other players, I am smart. I play smart on the floor, I know the game scenario and I understand what needs to be done. Another strong characteristic I have found in myself is that I am going to give it my all in everything I do, no matter if it's school or athletics quitting is never an option for me. I have been very fortunate in my basketball career, I have had a great high school coach and also a great coach in my Dad. I cannot wait to hopefully take the floor and compete at the college level no matter where it may be!
