Justice Bowers '19 Recruiting Profile

From the time I was in first grade I was always drawn to the hardwood, and although I've played several different sports through the years by the time I hit fifth grade i knew basketball was my first love. My competitive drive and determination have allowed me to lead my teams through the years to multiple levels of success. Starting in fifth grade, I told my parents my goal was to play college basketball and ever since that point we have been working to achieve that goal.

    Starting in fifth grade I joined my first club team and more importantly kept the focus on developing my skills as a Point guard. I realize I will never be the tallest player on the floor so I have chosen to focus on developing my skills that can be better then everyone else. Those main skills are my leadership qualities and ability to run the team as the on court coach. I realize I have a long ways to go in the development of my game and am motivated every day I step in the gym to get better.

    This last season was my freshman year in high school and came with a huge challenge in winning the starting point guard job on varsity. Although this was a huge step I was able to successfully lead my team and was named District New Comer of the Year. Now entering my Sophmore year I arrive with the confidence that it is my team to lead and look forward to our future successes.

    I have a total understanding of the importance of my grades and the value of a great education. I realize that beyond College it will be my education and the values I've learned through my basketball journey that will help me be successful in life. I not only look forward to playing basketball at the collegiant level but also look forward to the academic side as well.

    I've had the honor to be coached by several different coaches. I have been described by them as intelligent, driven, hardworking, and a true team player. Confidence and trust are two things I always have from my coaches. I have the ability to understand how their wanting the team to operate and lead accordingly.

    I hope you can take the time to dig in to me as a player and leader. I believe you will find someone who cannot be out worked and has an unmatched competitive edge to win. Although you can find other guards bigger, faster, more athletic you will not find a guard that can run your team the way I can.
