Personal Statement

I have played basketball since the age of five, and have loved the game since I first touched a ball. I have always loved playing basketball and used it as an outlet for many things. Obviously, my dream would be to make it to the league, and I’m willing to do anything to get there. I believe that my leadership qualities, work ethic, and love for the game can make a large impact on your team, and I would love the opportunity to back that up.

PrepHoops articles: OK State 17U Game Changers - Aiden Leckband – 2023 Guard – Frisco Independence (Played With Jayhawks Elite) It’s hard to argue that any team had a better weekend than Jayhawks Elite out of Texas. They went 4-0, won three of those games by over 20 points and won the gold championship on Sunday. They had a complete team, even though the roster wasn’t very deep. Four of their five starters averaged in double figures so picking just one player was tough. But we settled on 2023 guard Aiden Leckband . He was their leading scorer throughout the tournament, averaging nearly 20 points per game. It was clear that this team was loaded and any player could go off during any stretch of the game. But Leckband was the most consistent every time they stepped on the floor. He dropped 19 points in each of their first two games on Saturday and continued to be in double figures on Sunday. OK State 2022: Next Up Guards - Aiden Leckband , 6’2 Guard, Jayhawks Elite The first aspect of Leckband’s game that jumped off the page was the defense he played on the aforementioned Bradley. He plays defense with good discipline and an understanding of relying on moving his feet and angles to not allow the opposition space for clean looks. The rest of his game falls in place after defense. He’s a scrappy do it all guard, that pops up at the right time for an offensive rebound, a transition score, a good cut, etc. At the rim he has good body control when drawing contact to finish. Leckband racked up multiple double digit scoring outings on the weekend for the Jayhawks.

  • Spotlight feedback from PrepHooos: Aiden is a patient and polished scorer who thrives at getting to his spots. He is great at getting to the rack with quick crossovers and beating defenders off the dribble. However, I was most impressed with his ability to get to his spots in the midrange. He possesses deep 3-point range and can get the shot off with ease. He is a confident player with the basketball and does not get rushed into bad looks. He knows how to set up his teammates with his passing as well.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
