Personal Statement

My goal is to obtain a scholarship in basketball which will enable me to get my degree in Computer Technology.

My family has instilled in me the character that will cause me to be an asset to any team that I play for.  In addition to that I'm very athletic,

a team player, a hard worker, a leader, a defensive specialist that can score the ball, and am very passionate about the game with the desire to

make basketball a career.  Most players have scoring the ball on their mind with little thought on defending it.  The opposite applies to me.

Actively defending the ball makes it easier for me and my team to score the ball.  Defense makes offense easy.

Early in my high school career, I was not as committed to academics as I should have been, which prevented me from having the grades

I desired.  I learned a valuable lesson that caused me to focus and work harder for the success I desired.  I realized that being a student-athlete

was more important than being just an athlete.
