My goal in life since 2013 has been to go beyond the high school level in basketball and become an NBA player. I've been working hard since then to achieve that goal and go to the next level. I can't help but imagine the feeling of playing in front of a crowd and them cheering the team on when I or a teammate makes a basket or has a defensive stop. With the athletic and student body I have, I give myself a better opportunity to move up a step in my career. I prefer to play at a D1 level to have the ability to play at the highest level of competition in college basketball where I can be seen as a great player and even a better teammate. My work ethic is the one thing that separates me from all the other players. When Coach says no practice today, while my teammates may stay at home and play games, I go out to a gym and work on my skills. I always get compliments from other coaches about my work ethic and hustle on and off the court. I'm a great ball-handler and am known for breaking the press in tough times. I also can shoot the three and drive to the basket I'm an amazing defensive player and know how to cause turnovers. My academics are also a key thing that makes me different from others. I've been a straight-A student since I started school and I strive to keep that streak going through my high school years and beyond. I will always strive to encourage others to be the best they can be as I have plans to be the best athlete and person I can be. I love to help others and serve others when they are in need. This was exemplified when I was presented with the Servant Leader Award at my school.
