To whom it may concern,
I am a self-motivated, driven, and focused student athlete. I have worked extremely hard to have a level of success in both the classroom and on the basketball court. While my activities and work ethic are important, I recognize that to have "real" success in life a person must understand the value of being morally and ethically sound. In addition most successful people understand the importance of building healthy relationships with those around them. My faith in God comes first, my family second, followed by my other activities.
Outside of sports I enjoy gaming, hunting, fishing, and playing tennis. While I enjoy my studies and basketball I have found that other activities help me to recharge my batteries. These activities allow me to re-focus and to perform better in competitive environments.
My professional goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon. I would like to think I might have an opportunity to make a living playing basketball but I know that someday the game will end for me as it does for all. I want to be well prepared for the rest of my life.
I believe that my continued preparation for the future will position me for the many challenges ahead. I pledge to those who may be interested in me that I will be committed to the team and coaches and work my hardest. I am confident that I have the leadership qualities and skills to become an impact player at the collegiate level.
Respectfully,
Grey Soileau
