My Name is Austin Sullivan. I will be a Junior in Sept 2018. My academic goals would be to get at least a bachelors degree in sports marketing/business management. I aspire to have a career as a sports agent or have a career as an entrepreneur. My passion is basketball and I have played the game since I was 4 years old. My goals for basketball would be to get a full/partial scholarship to pursue my career goals.
In basketball, I am a team first oriented guy, who puts his teammates and winning first, with respect to my coaches and my competitors. I am a 5'10, 138lbs combo guard, specializing in long range shooting and quarterbacking my team as point guard. I have been on varsity since my freshman year as a starter and have led my team in points and assists. I broke a school record by scoring 44 points in one game, going 11-18 from 3 point range. Playing basketball has always been such a huge part of my life and I don't see that ever changing.
I currently hold a 3.2 GPA, however I plan on having a 4.0 GPA by the time I am a senior. My favorite subjects are Biblical studies and Science. I have attended Humble Christian School since Pre-K. I have learned so much in my time there, not only to excel academically, however what it looks like to live a Christ centered life. To put Him first in all things. How important it is to have honor, integrity and good character. Encouraging your team, your friends and showing respect to everyone. My mom, my grandparents, my bonus dad, family, friends and teachers at Humble Christian School have molded and shaped me into the person I am today. I am so thankful for their investment in me, and I want to pay that forward by investing that in my team and others I meet in my life.
My goals for the summer are to continue to work hard at perfecting my basketball skills and gain muscle. Academically, I plan on taking an assessment test to qualify for dual credit my junior and senior year. Studying and preparing for my SAT and ACT is a huge priority as well.
I am open to all kind of schools, although I would prefer one with an emphasis in Sports Marketing/Management. I also desire a positive Christian environment in which I could learn from others and continue to grow as a person.
I look forward to taking the next two years to prepare myself academically and physcially for college and making the most of any opportunity I am afforded.
Sincerely and prayerfully,
Austin Sullivan
