Anthony Pelzer '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, Coach, my name is Anthony Pelzer and I'm a Sr. at James E. Taylor High school in Katy, Texas. I've had a basketball in my hands since before I can remember, and I've always wanted to play in college. Basketball is my passion. I love the process, the workouts, the challenge, the competitiveness, and the comradery. 

I have been complemented by many coaches on my leadership skills and often told that I could have a future in coaching due to my high basketball IQ and my ability to break down plays and teach my teammates. One of my strongest assets is  my lockdown defense. I have been referred to as Mr. Intangibles and Mr. Motor. My style of play is said to resemble that of Jimmy Butler. I do a lot of things it takes for my team to win that may not show up on a stat sheet.

I know I have what it takes to help your team win. I plan to major in Business with a concentration in Finance and believe that my academics allow me to be a great addition to any program on the court as well as off. 

I am looking for a basketball program to call home. A school that challenges me but also gives me the space to grow both as an athlete and a young man. I am open to scholarships and walk-on opportunities. I am confident that I can provide what many athletes with similar playing styles and stature cannot, and that's Heart!
