I truly love the game of basketball and it is my only sport. I am a high motor, hardworking, unselfish, coachable, team player with high basketball IQ. I feel my biggest strength is court vision and playmaking ability. I want to be a part of a College Basketball environment that enables me to be a solid contributor, embraces my values, fuels my burning desire to excel and a become part of or help to create a culture of winning.
My first game of the year on Seven Lakes Varsity I scored 17 and grabbed 10 rebounds to start the year with my first double double. I averaged 20 points per game during summer league and worked hard at adding elements to my game. Hard drives to the rim with kick outs or mid range jumpers has created multiple threats to defenders when combined with my effective 3 point shooting. I feel my on-ball defense and rebounding has improved this summer. Last year, my Seven Lakes Spartans won our first Regular Season District Game vs. Katy High. I scored 38 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds.
I strength train, Vertimax train and work hard to improve my game. I have unlimited access to shooting on our Dr. Dish at the Hustle Elite facility. Additionally I have been training with Sei and Lawrence Paye and Justin Jackson (The Fam) who are all U of H Grads at a local school. We train alongside other alumni who are headed for China and trying out for the NBA or playing D league already. Very hard work.
I strive for excellence in everything I do. At age 8, I won my first Pinewood Derby as a new Cub Scout and have now completed the Rank of Eagle Scout. I passed Adult Skin Diver requirements as an 8 year old and recently earned my NAUI Master Scuba Diver rating. I led my Katy Youth Basketball teams to 3 undefeated seasons out of 5. I have played AAU club teams since 9U. Being a student of the game I have attended numerous Basketball Camps including: Mustang Camp, Cinco Ranch Camp, Seven Lakes Camp, Summer Camp at UVU in Utah, Rice Camp here in Houston, Duke Camp in Durham, Lincoln Memorial, Trevacca Nazerene, Queens College, Colorado College and U of H Team Camp. I attended two years of Point Guard College in San Antonio. I have had extensive personal, one on one shooting/skills training with former Rice Coach John Herndon and U of H Alumni Justin Jackson and Sei Paye.
