I am the starting the point guard and a leader on the Seven Lakes Spartans Varsity basketball team, a premier 6A program in Katy, TX. We finished our current season with an overall record of 33-5 and 11-1 in District. We won the 19-6A District Championship and also won the 19-6A Bi-District Championship. I was just recently voted 2nd Team All District for District 19-6A and also achieved Academic All District awards. I am a Senior and in the 2022 class and have not yet committed to a school to play at the next level. I was selected to be on the Varsity Basketball team as a Sophomore and earned the starting point guard position and All-District honors.
I am a multi-sport athlete and have focused primarily on basketball and football since I was 6 years old. As a Freshman, I served as a starting QB for the 9A football team and a captain and starting point guard for the 9A basketball team. I believe my strengths are my speed and quickness, basketball IQ, passing ability, and ability to take over games when necessary and needed.
In basketball, I have always played Point Guard and have had a lot of success winning 3 out of 4 Katy area championships and going 16-1 in my 7th and 8th grade years winning another District Championship title. Our AAU basketball team - the Katy Raptors - went 27-4 in 2017 winning several tournaments and finishing in the Sweet Sixteen of the Prime Time Sports National Basketball Tournament in Dallas. In 2018, we had having another great year as well!
In football, I have been the Quarterback for all of my football teams since I was 6 including my competitive youth football team as well as my 7th and 8th grade Junior High teams. Our Seven Lakes Junior High football team in Katy, TX, went 16-1 for those 2 years and won a District Championship.
I am the youngest of 5 boys and have always worked to keep up with them in sports and life! All of my brothers have played basketball and other sports, and I have learned a tremendous amount from them! I have loved being a part of a big family and have loving brothers and parents who have invested in me and helped me become my best. My dad coached all of us in sports, and he has been my basketball coach in very competitive youth leagues and AAU basketball since I was 6 years old. He played point guard in high school for a State Runner Up team in Memphis and has taught me how to play with heart, passion, and purpose.
I also played forward on the soccer team in 7th and 8th grade with our team winning 2 District Championships. I participated in track running the 200, 4x400, high jump, and triple jump events. As I am concluding my 8th grade year, I am very grateful for being selected "Athlete of the Year" by my coaches and my peers for both my 7th and 8th grade years!
I have been so thankful for the opportunity to play sports, and the positions that I have played have taught me a lot about how to serve as a leader on and off the field and court. My experience as a Quarterback and a Point Guard have helped me become a better overall player and teammate, and I feel it will continue to benefit me and our teams in high school and college. My focus is to continue to learn, grow, and maximize my potential in order to accomplish my goals and play at the highest level possible including college and beyond, if given the opportunity.
