Braden Petzold '24 Recruiting Profile

From a young age, I fell in love with the game of basketball. I've always wanted to be the best, which means I've always worked as hard as I could to get a step on everyone. I'm one who believes in hard work over talent. My goal is to pursue a degree in business. 

My love for the game came from my grandma, who first taught me how to play. When she passed in 2020, I knew that I was playing for her, and that only made me want to work harder. 

Basketball has always been a second home for me separating me from all the influences in my life. I am a player who will go out there and put my body on the line for my team, including taking charges and diving for loose balls. My shooting and court awareness on the court is beneficial, and I'm always working as hard as possible to be the best I can be while being a quick learner. Whether it's hard coaching or not, I love to learn from those who have experience in the game.
