I have wanted to play basketball since I was introduced to it in the third grade. I want to play simply because I love the game so much. This means the team can depend on me to do whatever needs done. I am a team player and understand the necessity of helping teammates on and off the court. I enjoy being a part of a basketball team because your team is like an extended family and being an only child, I view my teammates as brothers that will help me through things on and off the court.
In school I am a member of the National Honors Society, which as you well know, require exemplary character, scholarship, leadership and service. I take my grades very seriously. I currently carry a 3.95 GPA and plan to continue excelling not only on the court but also in the classroom. I intend to set an academic and athletic goal that will not only improve my future but will also be a goal for future high school basketball players hoping to play collegiate basketball.
Basketball has also taught me multiple life leasons that I could have never learned without playing the game. I love the game and will do whatever it takes to continue playing for as long as I possibly can.
