I am a 2024 guard, and I am big on defense. My defining trait, from an inside lens, is my perception of challenges. As any process oriented athlete, I am determined to outwork many on and off the court. I have been described as an athletic guard, who is smart, very level headed, and one who has a niche for being coachable. I willingly beat good defenders off of the dribble, and create a lot of shots for my teammates by moving off of the ball. I can get to my own shot, but I prioritize the right play over a good shot. I am assertive in full court defense and I understand offensive tendencies which translates to me playing fluent on defensive at a high level. This helped me win the DPOY award on my team during the 21-22 season. According to my evaluations, I have a high iq and unselfishness that allows me to not get into my head and stay in an assertive and focused state. I am a guard who will run the play exactly how the Coach wants it. This has separated me throughout my High School career. Understanding the game and creating little room for errors has allowed me to play at a Varsity level since my freshman year of high school. I am big on choosing a place that allows me to learn what success through relying on others peoples strengths and not only my own. I am preparing for my future by staying ahead academically, keeping great grades, and taking advantage of internship opportunities related to my engineering major. I push myself in preparation to give to the overall goal on any level. I ultimately desire to influence others, and what greater way is there than to learn leadership by learning how to be lead on a disciplined basketball team. The expectations lead to genuine lessons, learning opportunities, and ways of impact through my experiences, despite difficult situations.
