This is going to be my second year living in Texas, as my family and I moved from NC to Texas in June of last year. I will be playing basketball at All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler, which I'm extremely excited about! I have been hitting the gym constantly and working on my shot, my footwork, and my defense. This spring, the work that I've put in has already shown great results in my vertical leap and my overall strength and shooting accuracy. Playing college basketball has always been my dream. Along with understanding that my basketball game is vital to that dream, I also understand it's the whole person that makes me better, as far as being dedicated to my studies, extracurriculars, volunteer work, and the relationships in my life.
My strengths come from my work ethic, my family, and my faith and these will all guide and lead me toward a successful basketball career. I have the drive and motivation to pursue the dream of playing college basketball so intensely. I am also beginning to understand balance. I understand that being better at basketball means being better as a whole person. Getting to play with my teammates this spring and summer is going to be incredible, as my confidence has soared since God has strengthened me and my resolve and I'm getting to play and work on my game non-stop. I cannot wait to dig in with my team and get charged up for our upcoming season and I'm also looking forward to the academics at All Saints, interning this summer with UT Tyler's Orthopedics and Pediatric departments. My senior year will be the best one yet and I know that it will sharpen me to be ready for the next level.
