As long as I can recall, I have held a basketball in my hands and the passion for the game in my heart. When given an opportunity, I play with a "spirit of devotion." Why? Because I am devoted to the game as it is my duty as an athlete to give it my all and all. I am devoted to my Coach to be all that he has trained me to be. I am devoted to my team to be the support system as we play in unity. Lastly, I am devoted to myself to be all that I can be. I have the same drive and desire to play at a level with players that have similar walks of life but never giving up. As an athletic, I will reach above and beyond limitations and refuse to allow diversity to hinder me. Because of my devotion, I will always be a team player and maintain a positive outlook and display determination and consistency. I will be the player that will strive to become an effective player on and off the court. I can honestly say being an athlete has always been my outlet to release what God has placed in me; a strong desire to be the "best" of me. I am more of a humble person as I know that basketball is more than just a sport but an opportunity to make a difference: a man of confidence, morals, teamplayer, positive role model, community volunteer, and a leader. I pray that I have an opportunity to grace your team as I am a good candidate. And, it is my aspiration that others will carry this same "spirit of devotion!"
