Jacob Williams '22 Recruiting Profile

I first started playing basketball when I was in kindergarten for a local YMCA team. Fast forward over ten years later and I am still passionate about playing the sport. I have played for my school team, and different AAU teams; each experience has had a positive impact on me. I am a 6’7” big who makes plays on the offensive end and holds the team together on defense. I help the offense with both my own scoring ability as well as my great court vision and commitment to setting my guards strong screens to make plays happen and give my team the best possible shot every possession. On defense I lock down my own player while also making sure to help my teammates, and communicate with them. My focus on the court is on what my team needs from me in order to succeed. I am constantly striving to get better, not just for myself, but also for what my team needs me to be. I always bring a positive mental attitude to the basketball court and am easy going and determined. Academics are equally important to my future. I have consistently maintained a 4.0 GPA, and hope to continue both basketball and academic success in my future through college.
