Hi, my name is Trevor Brink and before I get into my reasons for everything I want to thank each and every coach, recruit and trainer that may take a look at my profile and read everything that I had to say. It truly means a lot to me and I do not take your time and consideration for granted what so ever. With all this being said I have so many goals that I want to personally accomplish in college at the highest level and starting with a goal that means so much to me, my trainer and most of all my family. Getting my degree in Physical Therapy / Athletic Training. I have been around the game of Basketball for so long it feels and I am only 19 years old but what has really inspired me to chase my goals in school is the opportunity to truly help others grow. Growing up I started training for the sport of Basketball in 7th grade. It became one of the most positive obsessions I could have ever asked for because it molded me to be who I am today in more than one way. I feel the help I had gotten has given me the motivation to want to help others further their career but also last in their sports careers as well.
What I can and will bring to any team is leadership. I have a never die attitude and that is what separates me from many athletes my age and above. I will run through a wall for any coach, trainer, parents, child or staff member for any team I play for. I bring a high IQ for the game of Basketball. Having trained properly and constantly studied the X and O's of the game has really helped me mentally slow the game down and execute properly depending on my situation with the team. I feel as though I can shoot with the best of them. I can spread the floor extremely well and knock down shots from in area on the floor. I am a competitor on and off the floor. I will compete in every drill making my teammates better and showing them how hard I am willing to go in hopes they realize my sacrifice and motivating them to go just as hard. My willingness to constantly be in the gym during downtime and non practice sessions is off the charts. I'm all about the extra reps and the understanding that my role on a team during any game or any moment can change instantly. I believe in being ready / prepared regardless of the minutes I get out there on the floor and that's what allows me to get to my right mental state of mine. I have a positive spirit. I believe in my team and most of all I believe in myself.
Academically I just know what I want as I said earlier. I feel with the Basketball is second in my life as it's important I get my degree. I do have dream of playing this game at a pro level but know with all things in life that will take time. My vision for what I want will take time and academically I need to focus in on that while being a high level athlete as well.
