I was born and raised on the island of St. Thomas. When I was younger, most of my days were spent playing around at the beach with my friends. Around the age of 10, I started to pick up basketball and practice it constantly. I took interest in Basketball after watching LeBron James on the TV and watching local high school basketball games. I've now been playing the sport for several years. I now realize that no matter what happens or wherever I go, I can take basketball with me. In life I'm competitive in almost everything I do. I also enjoy having fun, but I can also be serious when it's time to put in the work. Some of my goals in Academics are to receive the IB Diploma from my high school , and I would also like to complete a college education.
In September of 2017 my island of St Thomas was directly hit by a devastating Hurricane Irma (Category V), almost completely wrecking the island. We were hit 2 weeks later by a second Category V Hurricane Maria. During this time I spent 107 days with no electric power, cleaning up my house and helping neighboring areas. Most of the days during this time I spent cutting the fallen trees and clearing everything with my machete and putting it in bins into a large pile. In my spare time I played basketball on courts with rims with broken backboards and no nets. This allowed me to improve my game drastically. With the Island being small and lacking proper facilities I often use the environment to train, for example sprinting and jumping in the sand. In 2019 I won first place in the cross country championships for the Island of St. thomas. In my spare time aside from Basketball and school I enjoy to go to the beach and skimboard and learn new tricks.
