Yusuf Mavins '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a dedicated student-athlete with a strong work ethic both on and off the court. My goal is to play at a high level basketball program, where I can develop my skills in academics while contributing to a competitive basketball program. As a former captain of my #1 ranked team, I know what it takes to lead by example, work as a unit, and push myself beyond limits to succeed.

What sets me apart from other recruits is my resilience. Growing up in a military family, I moved frequently and faced adversity, including overcoming challenges at Mt. Zion Prep, where I had to reclass and adjust to a new recruiting process. Despite these setbacks, I’ve consistently maintained a 4.0 GPA and have been active in community service. My character, combined with my athletic ability and academic drive, makes me a well-rounded and committed candidate for your program.
