I have been playing basketball ever since I can remember. My father has been coaching the High school team for a while so I would always go to his practices with him, shoot around and do drills with the older guys. Being the coach's son was never easy for me. I made the Varsity team my Sophomore year, but I was not starting for our first several games. In practice, I always wanted to guard the best player. After months of practice and about 5 games I proved my worth as a Sophomore starter. At the end of the season I was rewarded Second Team All Regions and All District, which felt rewarding for all the hard work I put in to prove myself. I'm never satisfied however and I am going to keep working because I know that I'm underrated.
I have always been a team player and a fierce competitor, I will try anything that will help my squad get the win. Competitiveness also comes into play in the classroom for me. If my friends get a higher grade on a quiz then me, I'm going to study harder for the next one. The Highlight of my career so far has definitely been dropping 28 Points in our Region Semifinal my Sophomore year. As my Senior year starts to approach, there is no doubt in my mind that I will be one of the top guards in my Region and I'm on a mission to prove that.
