What makes me a good college athlete is my leadership and character. I was taught, ever since I was young, that good character and leadership will take me further in life than anything else. I know that if I put God first, keep my good character, and lead others the right way, I will succeed in anything I do.
When I first realized my leadership rules, I was in elementary school. I remember I used to always try to help someone struggling or include them if they were left out. A lot of that leadership and character transferred over into sports also. My first year of basketball my team came in second place. That was first obstacle I had to overcome because at that age I didn't understand losing that much. As I became older, however, I began to realize that every loss was an opportunity to learn and get better. By the next couple years, I won championships in rec league and middle school basketball, football and track. My biggest acomplishment is when I receive The Halifax Courty Middle School Athletic scholarship award. That award went to whoever has the best talent and and the best grades. In my freshmen and sophomore year in high school I received the Piedmont District All academic awards. I know that in order for me to be to have anything in life I've got to have the grades. My dreams and ambitions for college sports are surreal. All I need is one shot to show what I have to offer
