So far, the highlight of my basketball career is placing in the Washington State 1A high school basketball tournament as a freshman, being the only freshman on varsity, out of my class. My sophomore year, when my varsity team failed to make the state playoffs, is when I felt I grew the most. Missing the tournament has helped me as a person and basketball player to become more focused and driven.
Growing up on a dairy farm, I feel has greatly influenced who I am today as a person and as a student athlete. It has taught me the importance of hard work and determination. I have learned that the amount of effort and work I put in, is directly proportional to my success and achievement of goals. Being selected as a peer mentor in and around my school has helped me develop my leadership qualities, and has shown me the values in commitment, leading in a positive way, and supporting my peers. I am looking for a college that will fit my athletic ability as well as my academic abilities. With the work-ethic and leadership skills that I possess, along with my athletic ability, I have no doubt I can come in and be great leader and player for your team!
