Personal Statement

I am a team player. As a point guard, my job is to manage the court, control the tempo, facilitate the offense, communicate clearly with my coach, and help my team to score. I enjoy helping others score as much as I enjoy hitting shots myself. My coach says, “Good things happen when Luke is in the game,” and a teammate recently said, “Everyone plays better when Luke is on the court.” I was unanimously elected for the Coaches’ Award, as well as MVP, at my high school. I was elected captain as a sophomore and again as a junior. I am a high-achieving student, taking AP and college-in-high-school classes; I am very involved in student leadership at my school; I am conscientious and empathetic; and I enjoy friendships with people of many different ages and backgrounds. I have a passion for basketball, a brotherhood with my teammates, respect for my coaches, and a deep desire to win every time I touch the court.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
