My name is Will Pohland and I am a 6’2 combo guard that can play both the point and shooting guard positions. I lettered both my freshmen and sophomore year on Varsity basketball and am looking forward to start this upcoming year. I attend King’s High School in Shoreline, Wa. and play on a very successful, well coached team that has made state for the past 10+ years. We placed 6th during my freshman year and placed 3rd in my sophomore year in 1A state. This season, my junior year, we placed first in state. I have a 3.73 GPA, and have taken and plan on taking many AP and Honors courses.
I have always prioritized education first and am very dedicated to being successful in the classroom. I want to attend a school that is strong in business and finance. As well as education, I also want to play at the highest level I can and I set myself apart by putting my all into every day to fulfill that goal. Playing college basketball has always been my dream and I believe that I can bring my passion, hard work and leadership skills to any team that I play on. Over the past two years in our high school program, I have learned the importance in accepting and excelling in my role; whether it’s starting, being a defensive stopper or a knockdown shooter. I hope to find a school that is the right fit academically and athletically.
