Looking to the future and setting some long/ short term goals isn’t to hard. Some of mine are reaching a great college/ university that can help shape and mold me into the person I want to be after high school. That place just not shaping me for a career in business and/or welding but, also shaping me physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually too. My love for basketball is everything , its what I eat, sleep and breath! My passion for this sport is what also drives me in having high academics because without the grades the sport doesn’t feel the same. Achieving both in life makes everything for me feel complete. I am in a welding program now so I will have a career choice after high school but I just don’t want to stop there! I want a degree in business so I can further my career after college and maybe open up a business of my own or with my father. Nothing is impossible or untouchable I believe because with the hunger and drive anything is possible!
Being a great candidate for a team isn’t just the ability to be great at the sport, or have the grades. It’s the person you are and what different contributions you can bring to the table on and off the court! When I become apart of a team, I also know I will be a role model for the younger generation and the community. I was always taught how a man carry’s himself and interacts tells you everything you need to know about them. As much hard work I put into my daily school work, learning of my welding skills, and basketball, i feel like I am never to good to learn new or better ways. A list of characteristics I think I have that would be great for a team are being a hard worker, great listener, ability to be flexible , never giving up, and a heart strong, loving and fearless as a loin’s!
What sets me apart from a lot of people isn’t just my height being 6’7 but also my positive out look on things and willingness to figure out stuff and never giving up! Even when it’s hard or I fail multiple times. I always give thanks to god and people around me for helping, supporting or pushing me. Having that motivational attitude pushes other people to achieves in life. That is one thing that is great to have for a team so, there is someone that is the glue to keep the team a team and moving forward when we stumble. The coach needs players like that to make their job easier knowing they have someone to count on.
