Hayden Kraus '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’2 Senior from Evansville, WI. I have been playing basketball since 3rd grade. I have been a starter for my school and have played on other organized teams during the off season. I attend St. John’s Lutheran Church where I volunteer as a Vacation Bible School Leader, Reader, Usher, Assist to the Pastor and serve communion. I also participate in their High School Youth Program where we raise money to do  summer mission trips each year. I also serve as a volunteer for our basketball program where I help younger kids at a variety of basketball camps. I am a certified WIAA basketball referee as I think that would be something I could enjoy and allow me to save some money for college. 

I am looking for a school that allows me the right balance between the classroom and the court. I am considering the field of Sports management, where I can develop the skills that correspond with planning, organizing, and leading any organization within the sports field. I would also like to have the opportunity to coach. I find it really enjoyable to be able to teach younger kids the right way to do things. My main goal is to find a school that is a good fit for me academically and allows me to contribute positively to my team. At this point, I am open to hearing about all the opportunities that may be a good fit. I learn best in smaller classrooms.

It is important to me that I have a good coach/player connection; as well as, the right fit with the school. I am someone with high character, I’m motivated by doing the right thing and enjoy the opportunity to lead and be a team player. I am a hard worker both on and off the court and reputation is important to me.
