Solomon Garrison '23 Recruiting Profile

I am Solomon Garrison, a senior at Homestead High School, Mequon, WI.   I am a 3-year varsity starter point guard class of 2023. I am a dynamic point guard with the ability to make everyone better. I have been called a floor general, hard nose defender, the best pound-for-pound point guard in the state, and ultimate facilitator. However, what I like to be called the most is a leader, competitor, and proven winner.

I have had multiple accomplishments in my career at Homestead High School. I have over 1000 points over 450 assists (Homestead High School Record Holder), most win percentage as a point guard ( 2020-2023 - 80%), three-time North Shore conference first team, and this year I am named Player of the Year 2022-23 (North Shore Conference - Wisconsin State Division I). My totals were 18PPG—6APG 6 RPG. Additionally, I led my team to back-to-back conference championships in 2021-23. Overall, there are numerous Division 1 players in my conference, and outside of a great career, the one stat that everyone knows about me is that I am a winner.  

As a student, I have a 3.5 GPA, and Im involved in rigorous academic programming. I am on the advanced track in all core classes, English, Math, Social Studies, and Science (Advanced Placement and Honor Classes). I am fluent in French as I was emersed in language acquisition in grade school. I will use my bi-lingual opportunity in my future career. In college, I will pursue a degree in sports medicine.

It's my dream to play collegiate basketball; I have worked hard both as a basketball player and student-athlete to perform well in your program. I know I am still growing, and I am coachable. Both my parents hold doctorate degrees; my mom's a medical doctor, and my dad is a school district administrator; they often tell me I can go into either of these fields. I enjoy learning, but, most importantly, I appreciate the process. I've worked hard in athletics and academics, and I genuinely believe I will be an asset to a team at the collegiate level.
