I have tried to structure my life according to this quote by Steve Garvey, "You have to set goals that are almost out of your reach. If you set a goal that is attainable without much work or thought, you are stuck with something below your true talent and potential."
My parents have taught me by their examples how to work hard on and off the court. Since fourth grade, I have operated my own lawn mowing business. This business has helped learn the importance of good communication, integrity, hard work, perseverance, consistancy, honesty and the importance of good business management. My business has allowed me to pay for many basketball shoes, basketball balls, and basketball traveling expenses over the years to help me improve and give back to my community.
My business has helped me learn how to set financial goals, scholastic goals and athletic goals on and off the court.
Each year I have set an overall goal with daily and weekly goals, I have always been able to put myself to excess in all areas of my life. I understand balance is important in life to become an exceptional athlete, schlorar, and overall well round citizen.
