College has never been an option for me but a necessity in order to succeed in life. I have realised since starting high school that the world is full of opportunities but the doors to those opportunities can be just ajar or wide open. You can change the opening of the door through hard work, integrity, study habits and always doing the right thing. I am not only invested in my future success but also in the community where I live and go to school. I have served my community for many years as a Boy Scout, rising to the rank of Eagle by 13 years old. I have completed many community projects and assisted with community events. For my Eagle Scout project I designed and built a memorial for First Responders and Veterans. I am a leader not only in Scouting but in school. I have attended several California Association of Student Leaders Conferences and was involved in ASB. At school I have obtained a high level in academics, achieving 4.83 GPA this year. I enjoy learning and love to challenge myself by taking numerous AP classes while still participating in two sports teams. As a freshman I immediately joined the varsity dive team and have remained an integral part of the team qualifying for CIF both years. I am also on a competitive travelling Trampoline and Tumbling team and as one of the older members, I take on the responsibility of being a role model, leader, and teacher for younger teammates. I have all the qualities to be successful so I am looking for the opportunity to be part of a college and community that will allow me to meet my potential while supporting me both academically and athletically.
