I first started diving after I broke my arm at a gymnastics competition. I had to have two titanium rods inserted into my left radius and ulna, and could not continue to train due to potential complications. A year or two later, I joined the dive team at my high school and instantly fell in love with the sport, as I was able to translate my talent from gymnastics. At the same time, I made rapid progress in swimming, becoming Captain during my sophomore year, and competing at regionals in addition to diving. I am very coachable and want to become the best diver that I can.
In the classroom, I work and study hard, and my GPA puts me in the top 5% of my class. I am also part of the PeerForward program, which aims to put high school students on the right track to reach their goals after they graduate.
I want to attend a college where I can achieve my academic and athletic goals, and enjoy my time doing so. I have a good work ethic and want to be part of a program that pushes me.
