Personal Statement
My name is Matthew Yuan and I am in the class of 2025 at Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, IL. I started diving when I was ten. I qualified for USA Diving Junior National Championships from 2018 to 2023 and I was a semi-finalist for 1M/3M events in 2023 and a finalist for 3M event in 2021. In 2023 my sophomore year, I won IHSA state championship title for my high school.
I am determined to continue to dive as a student athlete in college. My goal is to become a finalist in NCAA Championships. I am a diligent diver and a good team player. I am excited about my diving career in college under the new coaching leadership.
I will be taking AP Calculus, AP Physics and AP Computer Science in my junior year at my high school. I plan to study Applied Math/Statistics in college.
