My goal going into college is to continue to compete and learn from my sport, while also obtaining an exceptional education. I would make a great candidate for a collegiate team because I have been playing club sports since I was young so I understand the value of dedication, teamwork, and failure. In addition, I am respectful and hard-working. I am different than other recruits in athletics because I grew up moving every two to three years, living in multiple foreign countries. This allowed me to keep perspective in my sports because I was able to see a wider range of competition. Furthermore, this made me more resilient when difficulties came my way. An example of this was when I moved to Accra, Ghana. There was no gymnastics available, so I began to swim again which then led me to dive later on. Even though I have been on multiple varsity and club teams, I was always a student first and an athlete second. I have placed priority on taking difficult classes and achieving academic excellence in my high school by making the top ten and challenging myself in my academic endeavors.
