Hardships in my life have pushed me to want to do better and want to do what I can to help myself and others around me. They have pushed me to want to get a scholarship. I have loved athletics for as long as I could remember. In elementary school PE was my thing. I began to love running when I joined track in the 5th grade and noticed I was gifted. This made me want to continue and strive to be better. Through track and field I have learned that pain can not hold me back and I’ve learned to not let it make me quit. I’ve learned to work hard and to push myself to extremes. It’s also taught me tons about my body and how to take care of it and how to help others in need. My academic goals for high school are to finish strong with solid grades that I feel proud of to show colleges and to excel in my weak areas. In college I hope to also get good grades and get my degree in kinesiology and sport science. In my life I’ve had to overcome many things. In middle school, when I become extremely passionate about track and field, my family went through immense pain that we still deal with today. A splitting of the home is never easy. My mother has taught me so much about how to overcome the unthinkable and to persevere when every odd is against you. My skills have always been track and field for one. But I also excel in art and have been brought up in an extremely musical family. I would love to run at a collegiate level and am looking forward to the future with track and field.
