My name is Dane Kudlacik and I am a senior at Westfield High School in Fairfax County, Virginia. I began diving my Freshman year after taking a couple of classes at our local rec center. I discovered I enjoyed the challenge and excitement of being on the boards. I am a proud Westfield Bulldog serving as team captain for the past two years and competing in regionals this past season. After the season in my pursuit to be well rounded, I also participated in Boy Scouts, our high school baseball team and played baritone in the marching band.
This year, after much thought, I decided to pursue diving only and joined Dominion Dive Club. Unfortunately, after diving for only a month COVID-19 hit and I was unable to dive. Recently, the pools have opened and I am now spending as much time as possible in the pool and at our dryland facility.
Although I am fairly inexperienced, I am confident in my ability to become a collegiate level diver. I believe my overall athleticism, great work ethic and my ability to set and achieve goals will make me an asset to any team.
