I have been diving for the past 5 years during the summer, as well as competing on my high school varsity dive team for the past 3 years. This year I have the privilege of leading my high school dive team as the captain. I decided to become more competitive this year and joined Dominion Dive Club as a year round diver, where I have started to expand my skill set on both 1m and 3m.
I am competitive and outgoing in the sport and I academically challenge myself in my classes. This year, I am taking 3 AP level courses, as well as participating in honors level classes in other core subjects. Senior year, I plan on taking 4 AP courses and 1 honors course. I am a member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Science Honor Society, where I work hard to maintain the goals of the group.
In addition to diving in the Summer, I work as a lifeguard for my pool, where I was promoted to the Head Manager position last year. This promotion allowed me to improve myself in my leadership abilities as well as gain a stronger understanding of collaboration. As one of the senior divers on my summer team, the younger divers look up to me, and I try my best to help them to improve themselves as well.
I look forward to the opportunity of improving myself athletically and academically in college.
