I love diving, and I would love to keep pursuing it in college. Dive has been a way for me to socialize with others, but also as a way to challenge myself and strive to do better. I care deeply about my academics and how i present myself to others. I want to be a light to shine for others and bring joy into their lives, and dive has been a tool that I can use for that. During my junior year, I tore my labrum and had a cyst in my left shoulder, which caused me to have a massive setback in my abilities, but I was also forced to not compete until districts. However, after taking on an easy list for my shoulder, I was able to qualify for state, and performed my best. I was just a few points off of 4th, but since I had an unpracticed list, I ended up 9th. However, to me that has been a huge accomplishment considering what happened, and it proves that I will persevere to pursue my goals.
