Personal Statement

My goal is to continue training in the sport of diving at a school that will allow me to reach my full potential and study meteorology, too.

My dedication, work ethic, coachability, achievements and passion for diving make me a great candidate for college diving. Additionally, my years of gymnastics training has lent me great body awareness, flexibility, and mental adaptability, focus. Other activities that show my ability to be a strong diving team member include coaching others in diving, gymnastics, and trampoline & tumbling. I have really enjoyed these work opportunities and hope to continue utilizing my coaching skills during and after college.

In school, I commit to achieving high grades/GPA and have taken multiple advanced and college-level courses to take meteorology classes sooner in college.

I competed in six club meets and won 1st place at all of them. Also, I won 1st place at the All City Dive meet which was at the end of the season against 13 other teams and 34 divers in my team level.

My second season diving and again qualified for the state championships. Three rounds of competition achieving 7th overall in the finals and made the WIAA Honorable Mention All-State Team.

2nd Place and second highest score of the season of 469.3. I had the seventh highest score of all sectional divers and secured a spot to the state competition.

This was a six dive meet and I competed against 34 other divers. This was also my first summer competing in the All-City Championships and I won 1st place! This meet determined if I was going to the WIAA Div. 1 State Championships. Not only did I qualify to the Wisconsin state meet in 12th place, but I also achieved a personal record of 406 points even with my throwing of some new higher dd dives. I finished in 2nd place.

I have been a gymnast for most of my life. 2019 Region 4 USA Gymnastics Championships Lvl 10 in IA, placed 5th on floor with a 12.7! AA 1st for Junior Development Regionals; AA 1sts Level 5 and Level 4 and multiple WI State Team Member.

Are you in honor classes?

Yes. Honors Integrated Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-calc (three years of math combined into two), and Honors physics. I finished with solid A's in both of these classes.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. AP Human Geography during the 2018-19 school year, receiving a 4 on the AP test! I finished with a B+ in the class first semester and an A- second semester! I also completed the college-level course French V with a B+ the first semester and an A the second semester. As a senior, I am enrolled in the following AP classes: AP Physics II, AP Calc AB, and AP Language and Composition. I'm also enrolled in the college level courses (CAPP/Dual Credit): French VI, Economics 101 and Lifeguarding (Kinesiology 104 & PhyEd 221).
