Manton Davidson '21 Recruiting Profile

My grandfather started me off playing golf at around 5-6 years old. I would leave the peewee football field and go across the street and play with him every weekend. I continue to play with him and his friends weekly. We are very close and he is a great golfer. He has played on the Lite Scratch tour and won several big tournaments in Mobile Al. He has taught me how to play and I continue to learn daily. At a young age I played baseball but gave up playing baseball because I didn't want to mess up my golf swing.

I played in the Jimmy  Green Tour when I was younger.  I won several 9 hole tournaments. I played on the tour until my seventh grade year and I was put on the Varsity Golf Team at school. I was the number two player until my freshmen year and then I was ranked number one. I have won many 9 hole tournaments with school against other local schools.  I have went to state to compete every year but one.

I am normally the team leader and I like to compete. I like to win but that is not always the case so I strive to get better daily. 

I am a good student and have over a 4.0 and have made a 26 so far on my ACT. I will take this again this year.  I want to go to college that gives me the opportunity to have a Math/Statistics degree or engineering.  I'm thinking of chemical engineer, I like chemistry and math.
