I began playing golf with my dad when I was about 7 years old. When I was in 7th grade, I was asked to play on the high school golf team. and I qualified to compete at the AISA State Golf Championship along with three seniors. I have continued to improve with each year of playing golf.
Last summer I played in my first Junior Tournament. I had planned to play in more tournaments this spring, but they were cancelled because of the pandemic. Luckily, the golf course did not close, and I have played golf almost every day since March. After a full summer of tournament play, my golf game has improved, and I finished the summer with several 1st place wins.
I am continuing to practice and to work on my game. I am looking forward to playing in more tournaments this fall and visiting colleges. My academic and athletic goal is to earn a college degree while playing a sport that I love.
