October 2024Personal Statement
Winning my first tournament after participating in my first introduction to golf at the end of 6th grade completely drew me to the game of golf. Surprisingly, I won the father/son tournament following the 1 week clinic and end up winning the Rigdon Cup classic the following fall. This experience helped me understand that I wanted to continue my focus and rigor in golf alone. I countiue to push myself further and further with extreme dedication to this sport.
I was fortunate to earn a spot on the middle school golf team and ended up #1 contributor on the team for 7& 8th grade years. As a freshman in high school, I played #2 player, 2nd to a senior in 7 A division. As a sophomore I contributed to the team and either scored #1 or #2 on most tournaments. I’m looking for a school that will challenge me with golf as well as academically (my goal is to graduate with a degree in engineering). With my dedication to golf (both school and regional tournaments) I feel I will be able to make an immediate impact on your team.
